Quorum 22/11/2019

For a third consecutive year, Maxime Laporte, Vice-President of Real-Estate Development at Quorum, is proud to have participated as President of the major financing campaign for the Groupe Paradoxe not-for-profit organization. The annual benefit evening was held on November 20th at the Paradoxe Theatre in Ville-Émard / Côte-St-Paul in Montreal’s South-West district and was hosted by the dynamic Christian Bégin with performance by several guests such as Marie-Élaine Thibert,  Beyries, Pilou, Ines Talbi, Valérie Blau and Halina Bernard.

Groupe Paradoxe is an organization which helps with the social/economical re-integration of young people between the ages of 18 and 35 through a training program in the technical theatre/show business profession. Each year 30 new apprentices join the 7-month program to learn new skills in the industry. With an impressive 92% success rate, the program has helped over 700 young people regain control of their lives.

In order to help these young people gain work experience with their newly learnt skillsets, the organization decided to set up its own theater: the Théâtre Paradoxe. This eco-responsible theater with its unique character is at once a place of training for young people in socioprofessional integration, a multidisciplinary cultural scene, a lever of urban revitalization.

For Quorum, this event was a must in order to support Groupe Paradoxe's exemplary actions for their socio-economical impact on the program’s young apprentice technicians, on the preservation of an exceptional historic building and, of course, on their integration within the economic and cultural fabric of the Ville-Émard/Côte-St-Paul neighborhood.
