Maxime Laporte of Quorum, Chair of the major fundraising campaign for Groupe Paradoxe
November 22, 2019
For the third consecutive year, Maxime Laporte, Vice President of Real Estate Development at Groupe Quorum, is pleased to have served as Chair of the major campaign benefiting Groupe Paradoxe. On November 20, the annual benefit gala for the organization was held at Théâtre Paradoxe in Ville-Émard / Côte-St-Paul, in Montreal’s Sud-Ouest borough. The evening was hosted by the dynamic Christian Bégin, featuring performances by several guests, including Marie-Élaine Thibert, Beyries, Pilou, Ines Talbi, Valérie Blau, and Halina Bernard.
Groupe Paradoxe is a social economy organization that promotes social and professional integration within the events and entertainment industry. Each year, 30 apprentice technicians between the ages of 18 and 35 join their team for seven months to take their first steps in the cultural industry, with a 92% success rate—representing 700 young people who have taken charge of their lives thanks to training at Paradoxe.
To enable vertical integration from training to the workplace, the organization decided to establish its own performance venue: Théâtre Paradoxe. This unique new venue serves as a training ground for young people in socio-professional integration, a multidisciplinary cultural stage, a driver for urban revitalization, and an eco-responsible facility.
For Groupe Quorum Inc., this event is essential to support Groupe Paradoxe’s exemplary track record in integrating young apprentice technicians, preserving the exceptional historic building that is Théâtre Paradoxe, and, of course, its integration into the economic and cultural fabric of the Ville-Émard / Côte-St-Paul neighborhood.
